Which Workshop whispers to your soul?
Plein air painting is a different experience than studio painting. The environment engages all the senses to record the essence of what's before you.
You learn to work much more quickly to engage the changing light and most often you work alla prima.
Paint in quaint Niagara On The Lake, Ontario
Each day starts with a morning demonstration and lecture. The demo will focus on bold composition .
You will learn how to make quick decisions and simplify for the most impact. We will discuss Color relationships, detail, form and edges
Participants will then paint until we break for lunch
Lunch is on your own ( you are encouraged to brown bag your lunch on location)
During lunch, we will critique works in progress.
Participants are asked to start a second painting for the afternoon session
Supervised painting until 4 pm each day
This workshop is focused on making you a faster and better painter, capturing the essence of the landscape
classes from 9:00 - 4:00 pm
3 day Watercolor Workshop Cost pp is $350.00 US + tax
Weather permitting all painting is done outdoors
